The original Domane introduced IsoSpeed, a revolutionary approach to smoothing out rough roads. Since then, road bike technology has evolved. Wider tires, disc brakes and advances in carbon fiber have changed what’s possible, and opened the door to a new approach.
A new way to smooth the road
With Gen 5, Trek focused on three things: reducing weight, improving efficiency and keeping the smooth ride that makes Domane so special.
Instead of relying on a complex compliance system, the new Domane works with three key elements: the frame, seatpost and tires.
The carbon frame and seatpost have been carefully designed to balance comfort and stiffness, while clearance for tires up to 35 mm allows riders to run more comfortable pressures and confidently take on everything from smooth pavement to rougher roads.
The result is a bike that feels light and responsive when you want to push the pace, yet comfortable enough for long days in the saddle.
